FibreGuard’s stain-resistant fabrics in short

Upholstery fabrics that are cleanable with every stain

FibreGuard fabrics are genuinely easy to clean

Our mission has been to make your life as easy as possible, limiting your interactions with cleaning products on a daily basis. Our easy-clean fabrics have advanced technology that ensures your spills don’t penetrate, allowing for easy clean-ups without compromising fabric quality.

There are four steps to cleaning our stain-resistant fabrics, and two of those are just ‘water’.

How do our stain-resistant fabrics work?

With fibre-level performance

🔎 Our easy-clean fabrics are engineered with innovative stain-resistant technology that makes them ideal for environments where spills, dirt and wear-and-tear are common.

🔎 To guarantee that FibreGuard fabrics stay stain-repellent and easy-to-clean, we have developed a unique set of testing criteria. Every fabric is tested by our in-house fully accredited laboratory, as well as external independent labs to ensure that they’re durable, reliable, and of consistently high quality.

🔎 Apart from stain-removal tests, our fabrics also undergo mechanical and antimicrobial tests and comply to important eco-labels like the STANDARD 100 by OEKO-TEX® and the ISO 14001 Standard on Environmental Management.

FibreGuard Outdoor and FibreGuard Pro

We have a wide variety of easy-clean fabrics for you to choose from. Each collection is the product of a long process of decisions, resulting in a fabric that's perfectly designed to fit your needs and style.

To further provide you with the best protection, we offer two special product extensions that can withstand specific challenges in demanding environments:

FibreGuard Pro

While the standard FibreGuard is known for its stain-free technology, the "Pro" version adds a crucial layer of protection: a breathable moisture barrier.

What makes it "Pro"?

The main difference lies in its multi-layered protection. Here are the core features:

  1. Moisture Barrier: A lightweight, flexible membrane is bonded to the back of the fabric. This prevents liquids (like water, coffee, or biological fluids) from soaking through the fabric and into the upholstery foam, which is where smells and mold usually start.
  2. Anti-microbial & Anti-bacterial: The fabric is treated to inhibit the growth of bacteria and micro-organisms by over 90%. This makes it a go-to for healthcare and aged-care facilities.
  3. Mildew & Odour Resistance: Because moisture can't get trapped in the internal padding and the fabric fights bacteria, it stays fresh and odour-free much longer than standard textiles.
  4. Woven-in Stain Resistance: Like all FibreGuard products, the stain resistance isn't just a spray-on coating; it’s applied at the fibre level of the yarn. This means you can clean it with just water and a little soap without "washing off" the protection.

FibreGuard Outdoor

FibreGuard Outdoor is the "adventure-ready" sibling in the FibreGuard family

Our trusted stain-resistant fabric, with added characteristics tailor made for outdoor use.

Why it's different from standard outdoor fabrics

Most outdoor fabrics rely on a surface coating that can wear off over time. FibreGuard Outdoor integrates its protection into the fibre itself.

  1. UV & Colour Fastness: These fabrics are solution-dyed or high-UV treated, meaning the colour goes all the way through the yarn. They won't bleach or fade even after thousands of hours in direct, harsh sunlight.
  2. Water Repellent: Water beads up and rolls off the surface. While it’s not "waterproof" in the way a submarine is, it resists saturation from rain and splashes.
  3. Mildew & Mould Resistance: Because it’s designed for humidity, the fibres are anti-microbial. This prevents that "musty" smell and the black spotting that usually happens when outdoor cushions get damp.
  4. Stain-Free Technology: Just like the indoor versions, you can clean mud, bird droppings, sunscreen, or red wine using just water and a bit of neutral soap.
