Clean up any accidental spills

No specialist fabric cleaning products. No stress.

FibreGuard upholstery fabrics are protected at the fibre level ...which means the only things you need in your cleaning kit = water, a cloth, and occasionally a bar of soap.

The process is the same whatever your fabric composition — and yes, the performance stays consistent too.

Here's something most people don't know about upholstery protection: it's usually a topical spray.

But FibreGuard is different

Usual protections are applied during the surface during manufacturing. Which sounds fine, until you realise it wears off. Every wash, every spill. Gradually, quietly. Until one day it's just not there anymore.

FibreGuard works differently.

The protection is built into the fibre itself, so there's nothing on the surface to lose, and nothing to wash away. That's why the cleaning process stays simple and effective — even long after a stain has had time to settle into the upholstery fabric.

The four steps to completely clean FibreGuard fabrics

01.
Don't panic. Remove the excess.

For stains like mud, ketchup, lipstick or silly putty, you’ll need to get a teaspoon. Remove any stain residue with the edge of the teaspoon or a flat utensil.

For other stains like pen or coffee, you won’t need to do this. We created a series of videos to show you how to remove any kind of stain on our easy-clean fabrics. Watch those videos on our Youtube channel.

Remember that stains are always more easy to remove when you remove them immediately.

02.
Blot with paper towel. Don't scrub.

Apply water to the stain and blot using a white paper towel.

Blotting instead of rubbing is really important, because rubbing with paper towels will just rip your paper towel and grind the fibres from it into your fabric. Repeat the process until you can’t see the stain on the paper towel anymore.

03.
Work it out with water and a microfibre cloth, in gentle circles.

Apply more water to the area and rub with gentle circular movements with a microfibre cloth.

Use soap for stubborn stains. Any white bar of soap will do, whatever you have in the house.

04.
Air dry, naturally.

This is really important.

Don’t use a hairdryer or apply heat to the stain in any way. Just air dry. It’s fine.

Timing doesn't matter as much as you'd think.

That spill you left on your way out the door this morning? Still cleanable when you get home tonight. We've tested this extensively — coffee, red wine, ketchup, jam, chocolate.

They all respond to the same simple process, hours later.

What FibreGuard has been tested against

FibreGuard fabrics undergo rigorous testing against everyday spills regardless of fibre composition.

Everyday beverages

Coffee, red wine

Food stains

Ketchup, chocolate, sauces.

Household accidents

Pen ink, makeup, muddy paw prints.

FibreGuard, FibreGuard Pro, FibreGuard Outdoor: same cleaning steps, different challenges

FibreGuard

Handles the full range of everyday spills across 100% polyester as well as blended compositions too.

FibreGuard Pro

Built for environments where spills go deeper. The moisture barrier layer stops more at the surface — making it the right choice for healthcare settings where liquid penetration is a genuine concern.

No bleach required, even in clinical contexts.

FibreGuard Outdoor

Engineered for sun, rain, mould, and the inevitable suncream handprint. Specifically tested against sunscreens and oils.

Same no-bleach approach, same simple steps.

Deep clean fabrics: responsibly designed to be simple to maintain

Water, a microfibre cloth, and occasionally a bar of soap.

No harsh chemicals going into your home or down your drain.

FibreGuard fabrics are responsibly designed, PFAS-free and independently certified safe by OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100 (certificate number 0611045).

Fabric that gets on with the job — so you can too.

Choosing FibreGuard's performance fabric means choosing on style, feel, and colour. Not on how easy it'll be to keep clean. Because that part's already sorted.
